This course provides students with the skills required to plan and instruct a group exercise class. Topics include class formats, use of music, choreography, cueing and successful instruction techniques. Students gain experience in the instruction of group strength and cardiovascular training. Students also participate in indoor group cycling and flexibility training. The course takes place in a dedicated group exercise studio where students practice teaching sessions and learn from their peers and their instructor.
