This course prepares students for their internships and provides exposure to the different types of opportunities which exist in the fitness and wellness industry, including self-employment. Students examine the job market and learn about the fitness industry through guest speakers and site visits. Topics include job search strategies, resume and cover letter preparation, professionalism, entrepreneurship, time management, interview techniques, legal issues, setting up a company, marketing skills, prospecting plans and selling skills.
