This course will provide an introductory examination of the business sectors within the tourism industry, each sector's importance within the industry and the inter-relatedness of the sectors. This will be achieved through a series of guest speakers, professor lead lectures and discussions, classroom activities, and student lead research. Students will complete an in-depth analysis of the industry sectors through completing a major sector group assignment and practice their presentation and communication skills through formal presentations of their collective work. Additionally, communication and presentation skills will be studied and practiced as part of classroom activities.
