This course prepares students in math for food service and nutrition applications that are fundamental to the program and profession. Students are introduced to mathematical models and calculations, and the applications of mathematics in food and nutrition. A review of basic statistics also enhances the students' ability to understand research findings and methodologies. Students use Microsoft Excel to create and modify charts, tables and graphs.
