In today's health landscape, many formerly terminal and debilitating conditions can be managed and the effects minimized. Wellness Coaches play an important role in helping clients with conditions such as diabetes, coronary syndrome, arthritis, HIV, cancer, mental health concerns, or physical injuries to optimize their health and improve their quality of life through meaningful behaviour changes within the limitations imposed by their conditions. In this course, students investigate the physical, psychological and social challenges and opportunities presented for clients living with chronic conditions and explore ways to access motivation and to influence mindset. They learn to plan for continuity of care alongside life-enhancing strategies to improve clients' overall well-being.
