The Fitness and Health Promotion internships provide practical experiences for students to apply previous learning to a work environment. This internship course provides students the opportunity to practise and develop their skills in key areas of fitness and lifestyle management, such as customer service, fitness assessment, counselling and coaching clients one-on-one to meet their fitness and healthy lifestyle goals. Students meet twice per week as a class. One meeting will serve as a forum for discussion and problem solving, and during the other meeting, students will participate in an exercise training lab as a class.
