The Cook Apprentice Red Seal Certificate of Qualification is a nationally recognized certification that provides greater mobility for skilled workers across Canada. This course will review all aspects of the exam and is suited for individuals that either have been out of school for some time or have never taken the in-school portion of the apprenticeship and have worked at least 6000 hours in the industry under a Red Seal Certificate Cook. The exam is taken with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
This course is for culinary professionals that plan to write the Certificate of Qualification exam also known as Red Seal Certification. Having your Red Seal Certification opens doors to new opportunities within the hospitality industry. Students will undergo an extensive review of the fundamentals of the culinary arts as well as occupational skills such as costing and sanitation. Take this opportunity to refresh your theoretical knowledge in preparation for the exam. In addition to reviewing the theory, we will review and practice techniques for writing multiple-choice tests.
