The Fine Art of Cake Decorating - Level 2

students will be guided through the design, planning and construction of a 3D specialty cake and wedding cake. Through practical application, students will demonstrate how to assemble and sculpt multi-tiered cakes in a structurally sound manner using a variety of traditional and modern methods. Decorating materials will include rolled fondant, gum paste and royal icing. Students will also produce a variety of attachment gum paste flowers such as roses, rosebuds, calla lilies, carnations, daisies, leaves and calyxes.
