Newly graduated and ready to start their careers, students of the Culinary Skills and Culinary Management programs were treated to an appreciation luncheon in The Humber Room on May 4.
Culinary faculty prepared the meal for the students, while alumni guests were on hand to speak to students, including those who were hiring!
An inspiring presentation was delivered by Culinary Management alumni, Michael Gallo, who is now teaching culinary at St. Michael Catholic Secondary School in Bolton.
“This was a really nice opportunity for us as faculty to congratulate all of the students who have worked so hard over the last couple of years,” says Culinary Program Coordinator, Shonah Chalmers. “It was really special for the faculty to prepare the meal for them this time and to give them a chance to speak to alumni who have success stories and happen to be looking to hire new Chefs such as our graduates,” she adds.
