Team Humber wins Best Soup in both the People’s Choice and Culinary Institution categories for the second year in a row! Chefs Simon Stenekes, Mark Jachecki and our students warmed the guests of the 2016 Holland Marsh Soupfest and satisfied their palates with their crowd-pleasing creation. The “Loaded Baked Potato Chowder” featured Smoked Cheddar Cheese Curds, Cider Braised Pork Belly, Aerated Sour Cream and Chive Oil. Look for the award winning soup on The Humber Food Truck this fall!
This is a great example of students gaining hands-on experience in the culinary world while participating in a community event. The event focused on local produce grown in the Holland Marsh. Congratulations to our talented Humber team!
