Humber’s Hospitality - Hotel and Restaurant Operations Management diploma program is the leader in hospitality management training. You will develop your business management skills via hands-on learning, theoretical classes and practical labs led by industry experts.
The Humber Hospitality Management Advantage
Note: A fast-track program is implemented for the January start. The first semester (January to April) is immediately followed by the second semester (May to July), resulting in a shorter summer break. The third semester begins in September, allowing students to complete the two-year program in just 16 months.
Students participate in a work placement with a hospitality organization that takes place in the fourth semester. Our internship coordinator provides direction and assistance for each student in securing a placement.

Humber is the home of the Canadian Centre of Culinary Arts & Science, Canada’s leading centre of excellence in culinary education, apprenticeship training and culinary research and development.
Humber College’s School of Hospitality, Recreation & Tourism, in partnership with the Greater Toronto Hotel Association (GTHA), launched the Hotel Management Leadership Program. The part-time program helps address a significant gap in the hospitality industry labour market. Specifically, it trains management-level employees to become senior leaders in the hotel industry.
In the Wine and Mixology room, students are introduced to wines of the world and the intricacies of food and wine pairing. In the mixology lab, students learn the theory and practical skills of a wide range of beverages and mixology including creating mixed drinks, understanding beers, spirits and wines.
With over 9,000 hotels and 72,000 restaurants operating in Canada alone, the possibilities are endless for a career in the hospitality industry.
The Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council projects that the potential labour shortage in the industry in Canada could reach to more than 228,000 full-year jobs by 2030.

Semester Abroad Options: Our program offers a unique semester abroad option operating annually in the winter semester. The options for students in this program include experiencing Europe and Taiwan.

Qualified students are eligible to undertake a study abroad service learning trip, which provides rewarding experiences and opportunities to do community service across the globe.

The legacy of the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games lives on in the partnership that was first announced in October 2014 between Headwaters Tourism, Humber College and the Town of Caledon.
