Post-Admission Requirements:

Once accepted into the program, and prior to participating in the on-campus and clinical (off campus) internships in semester three, four, five and six, students must have satisfied the following additional requirements:

  • Complete immunization record including flu shot
  • Valid Standard First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Health Care Provider (HCP) certificates
  • Police Record Check: Students in programs or occupations involving direct contact with vulnerable persons are required to undergo a police record check. Refer to Admission Information. Though not an admission requirement, applicants must note important information listed below regarding Police Record Check requirements. Successful completion of placement is a requirement for graduation from the program. Agencies that provide placement opportunities require you to have a clear Police Records Check for Service with the Vulnerable Sector (PRCSVS). Your acceptance for placement is at the discretion of the agency. If you register in the program without a clear PRCSVS and as a result are unable to participate in placement, you will not be able to graduate. The police record check may have to be renewed every three to six months. Students are responsible for any fees associated with achieving these requirements.
  • Two uniforms are required for the Massage Therapy program, an athletic type shirt/short combination worn in the first year and clinic scrubs worn in the second year. The cost for the two uniforms has been included in the tuition fees. In order for the shirt/short uniform to be available for the first day of class, students must submit their size requirements via an online order form. For information and to submit your uniform order, visit hrt.humber.ca.
