On Tuesday January 31st, the School of Hospitality, Recreation & Tourism was pleased to welcome several top employers representing Hospitality, Baking & Pastry, Tourism, and Event sectors of industry to our annual Winter Career Fair Event. Employers in attendance included, Four Seasons, Fairmont, Deerhurst and Horseshoe Resorts, Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants, and many more fabulous organizations.
The Career Fair targeted students from the Event Management, Hotel & Restaurant Operations Management diploma, Hospitality & Tourism Operations postgraduate certificate, Travel Services Management diploma, Culinary Management diploma, Culinary Skills certificate, Baking & Pastry Arts Management diploma, and Cook Apprenticeship programs.
The Concourse area at the North campus was buzzing with eager and enthusiastic students exploring internship, part-time and full-time jobs, and post-graduation opportunities. Resumes were shared, pre-screening interviews were conducted, and some internship and job offers even extended at the event.
Students and employers alike were thrilled with the opportunity to connect directly with one another. We look forward to the same success at our next Career Fair Event in Fall 2017!
