On May 3, 2017, Humber College hosted the annual Heads of Hospitality and Tourism of Ontario (HOHTO) Conference at the North Campus. The HOHTO Conference is an occasion where prominent Hospitality and Tourism professionals come together to share ideas, learn and network with one another.

The three-day conference began with an opening gala and reception. Day two consisted of an Educator’s Forum. Susan Somerville, HRT Dean, began the forum with an opening speech where she welcomed all the guests to Humber and invited them to explore HRT's newest facilities. The opening speech was followed by a keynote speech from Jason Dunkel. Guests then attended industry panels, moderated by Hotel and Restaurant Services Program Coordinator Kristy Adams, and enjoyed several innovative workshops while taking a tour of HRT’s new state-of-the-art labs and offices. The conference ended on day three with the HOHTO Annual General Meeting.

Thank you to the Humber faculty who helped organize this conference and contributed to its success, and to the conference attendees for sharing their knowledge with the Ontario Hospitality and Tourism community.
