PARTICIPANTS PUT ON THEIR RUNNING SHOES FOR HUMBER COLLEGE'S 13TH ANNUAL 5K RUN/WALK

April 24, 2018

Humber College honours Kyle Hoseman, a Fitness and Health Promotion student who lost his battle with leukemia in 2016, by hosting their 13th Annual 5K Run/Walk on April 12, 2018. Students in the Fitness and Health Promotion program were tasked with organizing the fitness event in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada.

Runners and walkers were asked to donate $2 towards Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada. With their socks pulled up high and running shoes on their feet, participants were ready to join in on the fun atmosphere that echoed throughout the event. There were great prizes that could be won and giveaways that were handed out throughout the day. To honour those in our Humber Community, lanterns were given out to carry in support of those who are living with leukemia and lymphoma.

Thank you to everyone who took part in Humber’s 13th annual walk/run. Numerous individuals came together to show their astounding support for colleagues, peers and loved ones with either leukemia or Lymphoma. The support that was received was astounding! Lastly, the biggest thank you goes out to the Fitness and Health Promotion students for planning and executing such an inspiring event!
