Amy is a Registered Massage Therapist and Certified Training and Development Professional. She received a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Windsor, as well as a Certificate in Adult Learning and Development from OISE, a division of the University of Toronto. Most recently, Amy has completed a diploma in HealthCare Management through the Ontario Hospital Association.
Amy is passionate about the profession of massage therapy, and as such, has spent a large part of her career working towards its continued excellence. She has taught within the massage therapy program in both the private and public sector, as well as providing professional continuing education courses to current Registered Massage Therapists across the province.
In addition to her experiences teaching within the massage therapy profession, and practicing massage therapy in a variety of clinical settings, Amy has also worked as Practice Specialist and Facilitator for the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, the regulatory body for Registered Massage Therapists. Here she provided guidance and resources to Registered Massage Therapists or those with questions regarding the standards of practice, legislation and requirements of the profession. She also oversaw and facilitated the educational workshops offered by the College.
