Cecily holds a Masters degree in Sport Management from Western University and undergraduate degrees in Science and Physical and Health Education from Queen’s University. She has more than ten years experience in the sport and recreation sector, serving in roles such as Sport Consultant and Project Lead with the Ontario provincial government, Manager of National Team Programs with Rugby Canada and Program Manager with the Ottawa South United Soccer Club. Cecily is a passionate student of leadership, learning and development. She is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach and currently owns a practice where she works one-on-one with high potential clients to develop their leadership skills and support them in achieving personal and professional goals. She also works on behalf of The Groove EDGEucation to train teachers and community recreation providers on how to deliver innovative programs using dance and movement as a tool for learning and skill development. Cecily has always been a strong advocate for amateur sport and has volunteered in a number of capacities, including women’s varsity soccer coach at Fanshawe College and the University of Toronto and mission staff member for Team Ontario at the 2011, 2013 and 2015 Canada Games. In her spare time, she can be found teaching her weekly dance-based fitness classes or playing her favourite sports which include beach volleyball, tennis and skiing.
