Chef Kumar is Singapore native who started his career with Marco-Polo (Singapore) after culinary school. Joe was also with Shangri-La Singapore as a Pastry Chef/Chocolatier and then moved to Canada to join Four Seasons Hotel.
Later Chef Kumar became the corporate pastry chef for the Liberty group and promotional chef for Lindt of Switzerland (Canada). Joe has also developed dessert products for major supermarkets and wholesale markets.
Joe has been teaching Baking and Pastry Arts at Humber since 1999.
Professional achievements include 3 gold medals at Salon Culinare Asia, Numerous appearances in magazines and food shows.
Joe is a member of the Advisory Board of Pan Asia Chef Association and has coached numerous teams for culinary competitions at Humber College.
