Kristy Adams

Kristy joined Humber College further to spending two wonderful decades in the hospitality industry.

Originally from Ottawa and a graduate from the University of Guelph, Kristy has held the positions of Hotel General Manager, Director of Franchise Services, Canada for 65 hotels, Regional Director of Operations-US Pacific Northwest for 14 hotels in the states of Arizona, Oregon, and Washington, and Vice President of Human Resources & Administration for an international hospitality corporation with 10 hotel brands in Canada, the US and overseas.

The depth of her experience allowed her to rapidly make her way up the corporate ladder and Kristy was appointed President & Chief Operating Officer of Howard Johnson Franchise Canada Inc.

In the School of HRT, she has assumed the positions of Program Coordinator for various programs including the Hospitality & Tourism Operations Management Post Graduate Program, the Hospitality Management- Event Planning program, Year 2, the Food & Beverage Services Certificate program, and the 4th Semester in Europe Study Abroad program.

Currently, Kristy is the Program Coordinator for the Hospitality – Hotel & Restaurant Operations Management program. In addition, she coordinates the Greater Toronto Hotel Association (GTHA)/Humber Hotel Management Leadership Program.

Kristy sat on the Board of Directors for the provincial body, Regional Tourism Organization of Ontario, Region 6-Central Counties for 7 years. She is an active member of the Tourism Association of Ontario (TIAO), Hotel Association of Canada (HAC), the Canadian Hospitality Marketing and Sales Executive (CHMSE) and Meeting Professionals International (MPI).
