Lucia Weiler is a Registered Dietitian, Nutritionist who loves food and helping students, communities and businesses translate nutrition science into reliable and life-changing advice. With over 25 years of progressive experience, Lucia knows that what you eat and serve matters to health and wellness. She is an expert in nutrition trends, healthy eating, cooking, food safety, menu development and labelling.
Lucia has been recognized as a leader in her field, most recently voted by her peers to the position Director of the Board, Dietitians of Canada. Lucia believes in lifelong learning and is an entrepreneur as Principle Consultant at Weiler Nutrition Communications Inc. She is also a Co-Founder of Nutrition for NON-Nutritionists and is a member of many professional associations, This includes the College of Dietitians of Ontario, Dietitians of Canada, Canadian Nutrition Society, Canadian Association of Food Service Professionals and the Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior.
Lucia is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a Bachelor in Nutrition Science and Food Chemistry. She received her Teaching Effectiveness Certificate from Humber College, and is a certified Food Safety Trainer. Outside of work Lucia loves cooking, cycling, and walking the family dog with her husband and 3 children.
