Maria Pelliccia has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from York University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Food and Nutrition from Ryerson University. Maria completed an accredited dietetic internship at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Maria has been working as a Registered Clinical Dietitian for the last 15 years. Maria worked at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in the Ross Tilley Burn Centre, General Surgery and Gastroenterology programs. More recently, Maria worked at Runnymede Healthcare Centre in Complex Continuing Care, Low Tolerance Long Duration Rehabilitation and Wound Care programs. Maria has been involved in multiple research projects in areas such as peri-operative nutrition, burns and high-risk obstetrics. Maria has been working at Humber College since 2013 teaching nutrition, health and wellness, and health promotion across many programs in the School of HRT.
