Wendy Burgess

Wendy is a graduate of the University of Guelph’s Hotel and Food Administration Program, B.Comm. She has worked in nearly every position in the hotel industry including general manager and senior corporate positions in Revenue Management, Sales, Human Resources, Rooms Management and Operations. She has been responsible for several “hotel openings” as well as the re-location and start-up of hotel reservation call centers and revenue management programs. Her career has included employment at Four Seasons, Delta Hotels and Resorts, Carlton International, Howard Johnson and other independent properties. Wendy has achieved many “firsts” in her career including the start-up of her national consulting company several years ago, which offers training and consulting expertise in revenue management, sales and marketing, customer service and operations. She is a key note speaker for several industry related conferences. Her clients include many large hotel chains and independent operators, as well as government, tourism, retail, medical and retirement homes from across Canada, the USA, UK and Caribbean. Prior to joining Humber as a part time instructor she also developed and taught a Hospitality Revenue Management course at Ryerson University. She volunteers and sits on the Board for various organizations.
