The start of the Winter 2017 semester marked the opening of HRT’s brand new, state-of-the art Baking and Pastry Arts labs.

The three new labs are all located in the D-building of our North campus. What was once a dark hallway and a plan on paper is now a beautiful corridor that displays the sights and smells of HRT Baking & Pastry Arts’ student creations.

Thank you to faculty, students, our Receiving and Facilities Departments, Colliers and the Design Team. A special thank you goes out to Joe Kumar and Rudi Fischbacher for the many hours of planning and design that have gone into these labs to make sure that they truly represent the future of Baking and Pastry Arts Technology.

A College-wide open house is planned for February 28th to officially launch the space to the rest of the College. Stay tuned for those details.
