The evening of September 21, 2017 was filled with congratulatory celebrations as the GTHA/Humber Hotel Management Leadership Program students attended their graduation ceremony at the Humber Room North Campus. The GTHA funded program was created to prepare ambitious, motivated and hardworking middle-management employees, to become career-ready candidates for senior leadership positions in the hospitality industry. The GTHA/Humber Hotel Management Leadership Program consisted of seven different modules over the span of 14 weeks, with middle managers taking a deep dive into courses ranging from hospitality marketing to human resources and hospitality law.
The festive occasion began with opening remarks from the Dean of Humber’s School of Hospitality, Recreation and Tourism, Susan Somerville and the Chair of the Greater Toronto Hotel Association, Bonnie Strome, followed by the presentation and distribution of graduate certificates by GTHA/Humber Hotel Management Leadership Program developers Kristy Adams and Ramesh Srinivasan. Graduates, faculty and staff continued their celebration well into the evening with an abundance of congratulations and delightful company.
We thank Kristy Adams, Janet Latremouille, Ron Caughlin, Ramesh Srinivasan and Wendy Burgess for their endless support and commitment to their students by continuing to contribute their time to the program. With their extensive knowledge, expertise and numerous years of experience in the hospitality industry, graduates can now grasp greater opportunities with unwavering confidence.
An enormous congratulation goes out to all GTHA/Humber Hotel Management Leadership Program graduates; thank you for the marvelous semester. May you grasp success by the horns and continue your journey with strength, resilience and fortitude.
