Designing Effective Wellness Programs

Course Code: WELL 5508

Academic Year: 2019-2020

Failure to plan is a plan to fail. Effective wellness program planning requires empathic research and interactive insight to ensure that programs are responsive to the needs of both individuals and groups. As future architects and facilitators of wellness programs, students apply design and research principles to plan, implement and evaluate programs to enhance health and wellness across a spectrum of situations. Collection and consideration of data related to demographics, social determinants of health, and workplace culture are central to this design process. In order to illustrate the impacts and potential returns on investment to be realized through effective wellness programming, students formulate and present business case arguments for wellness programming.
