The School of HRT is thrilled to announce that two of the incredible 2018 OHI Top 30 Under 30 recipients are part of the HRT family. The Ontario Hostelry Institute’s Top 30 Under 30 represents a select group of rising stars in the hospitality world that have significantly contributed to its successes and critical acclaim.

Stephanie Mirabelli is a current chef instructor at Humber in the Baking and Pastry Arts programs. Starting out of her parent’s kitchen nearly a decade ago, Stephanie’s passion has led her to produce desserts and cakes for the Prime Minister of Canada and of Italy, Michael Jordan, Drake, and The 2017 Oscars in Los Angeles where her award themed multi-tiered cake was revealed on the Pre-Show Red Carpet event. Stephanie competed in the Baking & Sweets Show 'Canadian Landmark Challenge' and with her team and took first place with a 10ft x 10ft Hudson Bay themed cake. She graduated with a Baking & Pastry Arts Management diploma at the top of her class with Honours and Dean’s Honour Roll and has since amassed 10 years of combined experience as a Pastry Chef, Cake Designer, and Chef Professor.

Kathryn Gee is the Front-Desk Duty Manager at the Sheraton Centre Toronto and a proud Humber grad from the Hospitality Management program. She has now been working and excelling in the hospitality industry for four years – beginning as a server and climbing her way up the ladder. When attending Humber, she wowed the judges at Frankie Tomatto’s Restaurant Innovation Competition with her business concept for Field to Fork Consulting, earning the top prize in the competition. Since then, she has used this sense of innovation to improve and apply to every role - from sales and marketing intern to manager of guest services.
