Marie graduated from Centennial College’s Food & Nutrition Management program. Marie’s work background has been mainly in acute care hospitals in various Food Service Management roles and has been an active member of the Canadian & Ontario Societies of Nutrition Management. Marie worked through the challenges of working in a health care facility during SARS, blackout & power outages & most recently the infamous ice storm. Most recently though, Marie has worn many different Food Service Management hats. Marie co-owned & operated & later sold a restaurant.
In 2012, Marie started teaching various Food Service Worker courses at Centennial College in the Part Time Learning sector as well as working part time in a long term care private facility as a Food Service Manager. In the summer of 2015, Marie also accepted a temporary contract as a Food Service Supervisor during the Pan Am Games in the Athletes’ Village with Sodexho and has been on call with the City of Toronto for Food Services for the Early Learning Centres for the past year. Marie is passionate about food, cooking, baking & trying out new recipes. She enjoys working at her personal fitness, teaching & working with patients, residents & clients.
