Ramesh Srinivasan

He is Professor and Program Coordinator at Humber College in Toronto, with cross appointments with the School of Hospitality, Recreation and Tourism and the Business School.

His education includes a Masters degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell-ESSEC in France, a Bachelor’s Degree from Bombay University, and a Diploma from the Oberoi School of Hotel Management. He is committed to life-long learning, and has completed a breadth of professional certifications including Certified Hospitality Educator, Certified Foodservice Manager, Certified Specialist of Wine, French Wine Scholar, Certified Sherry Educator, Certified WSET Educator, and holds the Wine and Spirit Education (WSET) Level 4 Diploma in Wines and Spirits.

He has worked in management positions in three continents of the world with leading hospitality organizations that include Oberoi Hotels and Resorts, Four Seasons Hotels, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and the InterContinental Hotels Group. He served as a director on the Board of the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) an agency of the province of Ontario that generates $5.6 billion in annual revenues. In 2014, Ramesh was inducted as a Fellow of the Ontario Hostelry Institute in recognition of his dedication and contribution to the culinary, foodservice, wine and hospitality industry. In 2015 he received the Humber College Distinguished Faculty Award.

In 2016 Ramesh was responsible for developing and launching the Greater Toronto Hotel Association/Humber Hotel Management Leadership Program for middle-management hotel executives. In 2016 he travelled to Sri Lanka on a volunteer assignment with Uniterra as a curriculum development advisor for a degree in hotel management for the University of Vocational Technology. Recently he was invited to participate in the Dubai Government Excellence Program as an assessor.
