Annual Spin-a-thon Raises Money for United Way
On Friday, December 15, 2017 Humber held their 8th annual spin-a-thon to raise money for United Way, an organization dedicated to strengthening communities and improving lives across the country. The Fitness and Health Promotion students planned and executed a high-energy event where 100% of the proceeds were donated to the cause.
The Humber and Guelph Humber community gathered in teams of 2 to 8 and cycled to electrifying music, motivational instructors, and the enthusiasm of their teammates. All participants were eligible for prizes and were treated to complementary refreshments and a pizza lunch following their session of spinning. Awards were given to the Top Fundraiser, Top Team Fundraisers, Best Spirit, and to the team with the most unique costume.
Thank you to our Fitness and Health Promotion students for all the hard work they put into organizing the 8th annual Humber Spin-a-thon. A big thank you also goes out to everyone who participated in the event, fundraised for United Way and came out to support our student organizers.
