Ben Ezra


Ben Ezra is an author and fitness expert who specializes in helping people lose belly fat, get six-pack abs and build muscle. He is also a model and has been featured on the covers of more than 20 romance novels worldwide, and occasionally writes for LiveStrong. Ben is the creator of Abs NOW! and author of the Guide to Six-Pack Abs. A. Fitness & Health Promotion (Graduated in 2004)

Q. Why did you choose Humber College?

A. Because it was one of the first Colleges to offer this program, and I had a passion for Fitness & Health.

Q. What are 5 skills Humber taught you that are necessary to be a top performer in this job?

A. Discipline, training program design, understanding of exercise physiology, bio-mechanics, and how to see something through until the end.

Q. How was your major related to your current work?

A. It's directly related, as I currently promote, and educate people all around the world on how to live a fit and healthy lifestyle.

Q. Which class did you find most beneficial?

A. Exercise physiology

Q. What was the biggest obstacle you faced during your time as a student?

A. Following through, and finishing the entire program, as I was never much of a "school person" and always more of an entrepreneur.

Q. How did your experience at Humber help you find employment after graduation?

A. It provided me with numerous skills, and knowledge to be able to build off of, as I began my journey in the work world.

Q. What do you enjoy about your career?

A. Helping people improve their lives is what I'm passionate about, and I enjoy doing that every day.

Q. What accomplishment are you most proud of since graduating?

A. Writing a book, and reaching 42,000 YouTube subscribers on my fitness & health YouTube channel.

Q. Would you recommend Humber to future students?

A. Of course.

Q. When and why did you first start your YouTube channel?

A. I started it around 2014, as I wanted to share my knowledge about fitness and health with as many people as I could, and YouTube happened to be the best vehicle to do so. It also helped that people from all across the globe enjoyed my videos! :)

Q. How do you like to keep yourself active and motivated?

A. My motto in life is, a life worth living, is a life worth improving. I actually say that line at the end of each and every one of my YouTube videos. I constantly work on improving myself, and making time to stay active, healthy, and learn as much as I can on a daily basis.

Q. How did Humber prepare you for the work world?

A. They allowed me to gain hands-on personal training experience, both at the College gym, and during my work placement at a fitness and sports facility.
