Terry Mundell is both an extraordinary hospitality professional and a highly valued partner to the School of HRT. On Thursday, November 1st at the School of HRT’s Fall Convocation, Mr. Mundell was formally recognized for his achievements and contributions with an Honorary Degree from Humber College.
Terry Mundell was appointed President & CEO of the Greater Toronto Hotel Association (GTHA) in January 2007. During his time with the GTHA, Mr. Mundell has played an active role representing the hotel industry to all levels of government to raise the profile of the hotel sector in the GTA and across Canada.
Mr. Mundell has held senior positions in both the public and private sectors, and has served on numerous national and provincial Boards of Directors, task forces and committees. He also spent 17 years in municipal politics.
The work that Mr. Mundell has done with Humber College has been invaluable. His organization funded the development of our GTHA leadership training program for hospitality professionals and has also provided Humber students with numerous internships, placements and learning opportunities over the years. Throughout his entire career, he has worked hard to ensure that the future of the hospitality industry is bright.
It was a privilege for the School of HRT to present this Honorary Degree to Terry Mundell. Thank you for everything you do for Humber College and welcome to the team!
