Josie Bancheri has been an instructor in he Baking and Pastry Arts Management program at Humber College for the last few years.
Josie has both a strong pastry, cake decorating and business background. She obtained her Business Marketing Bachelors Degree and later received her Pastry Arts Diploma. To further her skills as a cake designer, she has taken numerous cake decorating courses from some of the top cake artists in the world, such as Ron Ben Israel and Mike McCarey.
With her strong entrepreneurial spirit, passion for baking and cake artistry, she started her own specialty cake and dessert business, Juicy Desserts, over 10 years ago. Since then, she has increased her skill level and knowledge of the cake industry, and is now one of the top cake artists in her field. She prides herself in keeping on top of the latest techniques and trends in the world of cake artistry, and has a strong passion for teaching these techniques to students.
Some of Josie’s many career highlights include winning The Food Network Cake Challenge, as well as several industry awards. She has been featured on various television shows such as Breakfast Television, The Marilyn Dennis Show, and Slice TV’s Cake Walk. She has been featured in the Toronto Star and magazines such as WedLuxe, Wedding Bells, Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, and Cake Design Italia.
