Every year, the Fitness and Health Promotion students organize a spin-a-thon to raise money for United Way, a not-for-profit organization that works to improve the quality of life by providing opportunities within communities. The 9th annual spin-a-thon took place on November 30th at Humber College North in the concourse. This high-energy event is meant to get bodies moving all while raising money for a good cause and having fun.

Three top GTA spin instructors were present at this year’s event including Christopher Roche, Johnny Rupani and Humber’s very own Carmen Puyo. Members of the Humber and Guelph-Humber community could participate as individuals or as teams up to eight. All participants were eligible to win prizes and were provided with refreshments to help keep them fueled. Prizes were donated by sponsors within the community such as David’s Tea, Humber College, Modo Yoga Bloor West, Sweets From the Earth Bakery, and more.

Thank you to our Fitness and Health Promotion students for all their hard work in putting together the 9th annual Humber Spin-a-thon. A special thank you goes out to all the sponsors, participants and anyone who came to support our students.
