It pays to think outside the box. Culinary Management student Dacyion Reid learned this when she participated in a competition hosted by the Distillery Restaurant Corporation at our career fair last month when she was tasked with making a creative dish with avocado. Dacyion wowed the judges with her Avocado BLT. In place of bread, Dacyion used two halves of an avocado to enclose the sandwich, which had the classic BLT toppings but also some fresh gourmet ones, including radishes and sesame seeds.
Daycion will receive a meal for two at a Distillery Restaurant of her choice for her hard work and creativity. Congratulations Dacyion!
